My 11 year old playing in her first piano recital. She has taken piano almost two years and is finally confident enough to play for an audience. I am so proud!
That brings back memories. I haven't done a recital in years, but that's how I spent my youth. Congrats to her on her confidence! :) I was always so nervous.
I love when parents write reverently about their children's achievements. It's so important to mark these moments for them...they'll treasure them forever. As will your daughter.
Good on you, mom!
Hope you have a wonderful WW. I've posted my contribution here and hope you drop by for a look around:
What a beautiful little artist your daughter is! I remember me being nervous all the time I had to play the piano in front of an audience... I never had her confidence. Congrats to her!
Your daughter's a beautiful little girl and what a wonderful talent to nurture. Her music will bring years and years of memories and enjoyment. You gotta love the "elevator" piano bench too!!
Thanks everyone! She played beautifully, but I don't think there was one person who didn't make at least one small mistake. They were all nervous. But she knew her songs and played them well. Her confidence has grown so much. There was a time when she never would have played in a recital, and it wasn't too long ago.
You can be proud ! it's wonderful to have a talented little girl !
ReplyDeleteGood for her...she loves confident and beautiful. What a nice photo.

I had piano lessons, too, before. :)
