HEADS: Anything Green! Skittles over at Skittles Place hosts this cool meme. She offers a variety of topics, heads or tails, and we write and post our responses and link back to her. I'm proud to say I'm a HoTtie!
1. The green of a freshly-mowed lawn.
2. The soft, lime green of my daughter's comforter and sheers and the green of her "lucky" pillow that she got from the hospital when she had surgery. ( I really wanted a picture of this to show you, but argh! My camera (less than a month old) won't work! My tackle today was getting that darn camera replaced.
3. Green with envy.
4. The shamrock, a symbol of Ireland (and I have Irish blood running through these veins), is a green, 3-leafed clover. In Victorian times, the shamrock was used for medicinal reasons. It has come to represent Saint Patrick's Day. Shamrocks are said to bring good luck, though I had always heard it was only from the 4-leafed clover.
One of my favorite smells is freshly cut grass. We live in an apartment so we don't even have to do the work to enjoy the smell.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your camera. Maybe if you were able to find a four leaf clover! :)
There are just so many green things to think about! I had a hard time picking one! I loved all the things you came up with!
ReplyDeleteKermit is pretty darn cute. And my husband's eyes. And son's collared shirt. And the grass on Sundays. And Starbuck Green Tea Frappucinos!
ReplyDeletecute meme!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Great take on the theme!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday! I love that leaf!
ReplyDeleteThe shamrock!!! I was sure to bet 'green money' that more would have this item for green. So far, you're the very first one to have posted about it.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't dropped by to see my green, be prepared to sing along with Kermit the Frog!!! Hope to see you there.
I like your choices. The shamrocks are pretty.
ReplyDeleteMy post was about our lawn -- very sad. If your lawn is green, then I guess I am green with envy! LOL
great meme!!!! I may join in!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Great post for the theme! When we played volleyball in school, we used to find 4-leaf clovers in the outfield and put them in our sock for good luck ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove your choices - at least of the lawn, the color of envy and the shamrock. I trust you enough to know that I would also love your daughter's comforter - even without seeing it. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy St.Patricks Day!
ReplyDeleteI loved the smell of freshly mown grass.
ReplyDeleteNow all I can do is sneeze.
My "green" is up too ::here::
Enjoy your day!
