Lunches this week will consist of turkey hoagies or peanut butter sandwiches, chips, and fruit such as cantaloupe, strawberries, pineapple, or applesauce. No desserts this week (except fruit).
Monday - Hamburger helper for the kids (Yep, we still use the old stand-by!) and pasta with marinara sauce for the adults.
Tuesday - Crock pot roast with seasoning salt, onions, baby carrots, and peeled, chopped potatoes.
Wednesday - Shish-ka-bobs and rice. The shish-ka-bobs are made with marinated T-bone steak, onion, cherry tomatoes, red bell pepper, and mushrooms. My husband grills them.
Thursday - My husband's guys night out. After piano, baseball practice, and driving school, the kids and I will probably get fast food.
Friday - Pizza night!

Now this makes total sense! NO Wonder why I just keep making so much damn chicken... NO Planning! I love your ideas!
ReplyDeleteFor a long time I planned menus out a week or often two weeks in advance. It really helped with the food budget, not to mention less stress for me trying to come up with something each day. I don't know why I got away from that, but your post inspires me to start again!
ReplyDeleteThanks for some yummy ideas too!!
