Welcome to my 22nd edition of Thursday Thirteen! Today's list is the opposite of a "bucket list." These are 13 things I will never voluntary do. 2. Play with a frog or toad - A few years ago, I went to the back porch to put my shoes on, no socks. A toad had crawled in my shoe, and it was completely disgusting.
3. Watch any of the Saw movies -too creepy! I like mystery, suspense, adventure, and a little thrill, but I don't enjoy gratuitous blood and guts. Click the link (Saw) if you like that sort of thing.
4. Sky dive - I have no desire to jump out of an airplane with nothing but a parachute. It looks cool, but I don't want to do it.
5. Play paintball - I finally played laser tag for the first time in January, but I'm pretty sure you have to be in tip-top shape to play paintball, and it probably hurts when you get shots.
6. Get my PhD. - I'm content having my Master's in Education, and I may eventually get another one, but I don't see myself ever going for the Doctorate.
7. Rob a bank or convenience store - 1) It's morally wrong and 2) I'd get myself killed!
8. Eat cockroaches - Or scorpions, or goat eyeballs, like that crazy guy Andrew Zimmern on Food Network's Bizarre Food show. Don't know who he is? Consider yourself lucky! If you're curious, click on his name.
9. Bungee Jump - A little too adventurous for me. I saw a cartoon of Humpty Dumpty bungee jumping, and of course, he cracked his head open. I couldn't post it here because it was copyrighted, but surely that would happen to me.
10. Ride the Boardwalk Bullet at Kemah - I saw the progress of this roller coaster from the ground up, and I usually like roller coasters, but it's my life's goal NOT to ride this one.
11. Own a Hummer - Gas guzzlers. Nuff said.
12. Lay down in a coffin - my ex-husband was a funeral director, and I don't think I could ever bring myself to lie down in a casket or coffin.
13. Swim with Sharks - My brother-in-law has done this, but it's not my cup of tea. They are too unpredictable, and I don't want to take any chances.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree as well. Except I won't ride any roller coaster...well the mildest ones, but that's all. I get sea sick on a merry go around. I'm afraid of heights, and I'll let others eat all the disgusting stuff unless I'm starving.

ReplyDeleteI ditto everyone of those! I was helping in a haunted house one time (years ago) and I refused to lie down in the coffin! The only way that I will be laying in one is when I am dead! LOL! I shudder now! :)

I agree with your never do list. I will never do most those things either. I might;however, get my PhD and Ride the Boardwalk Bullet at Kemah. Happy TT!

ReplyDeleteI did a never list a few weeks ago. Some of yours were on my list, too. I gotta agree with all of them. Maybe I need to do another list of nevers - there are so many more.
ReplyDeleteI think I agree with you on all of those... we had a bearded dragon as a house guest over the summer last year...I don't think I could go any more exotic than that. Great list!

I agree with all of your point but one: #2: As a boy we played with frogs. And we do have a couple of toads in our summer garden. We like them, as they eat the killer/iberian snails. Every fall, one of them comes for a evening visit to our platform. Just sitting there looking at us, then walks away again.
