Digi-Scrap attempt

Over at Carolyn's National Scrapbook Month party, she has challenged us to use some free digi-papers (from Jessica at Scrapbook Ideas). This is my first attempt at digi-scrapping, and using what little resources I had available to me, I put together a page for Mother's Day (yesterday). I would normally journal more, but I'm so new at this that I didn't really know what to do or how to do it. I'm going to be brave and post my first ever effort. Now Carolyn has another challenge for us. So, I revisited my first attempt, added some extra swirls at the botton, added some journaling, added a dark pink border, and here is my re-worked first attempt at digi scrapping! Do you think the few minor touches made it look any better?I really am looking for an easy-to-use digital scrapbook program that is compatible with Vista. The one I used to use doesn't work with Vista, so if anyone has suggestions, I'm open! Thanks!

  1. Looks great!

My mom and I use Creative Memories software - and my mom has Vista.

It is super easy to use - but it doesnot have lots and lots of embelishments.

I think I may join the Scraping Sunday group...I need to get caught up!

    Thanks for sharing.

  4. How cute!!! I'm also looking for a great digital scrap booking program, but it has to be compatible with the Mac. That's what my hubby offered to get me for Mother's Day, but I wanted to search it out before I just went and bought one on a whim :)

  6. I think you did a great job on your first digi page!! Welcome to the digi world! : ) I'm enjoying your blog... great disney photos!

As far as a digi scrapbooking program, Heritage Makers has a really easy online program that includes drag and drop... so you can be creative with your own pages or use their templates. Just an idea!! : )
There is a link to my Heritage Makers site on my blog if you want to take a peek at the free basic account. You can also upload pages you've created in other programs as long as you save them as jpgs!!!

  8. Great page! I have collected loads of free digital kits from the web but never did a digital page. Your page turned out great for your first digital page, well done and thanks for sharing!

  9. I like that you added more journaling, but it looks like the photo of the second layout is not loading right... the new swirls are all bunched up.
