I'm really surprised to say that I have seen NONE of the Oscar Best Picture nominees this year. I WANT to go see a few of them, but my husband is so particular about which movies he will actually go to the theater to see, and I'm not going to the movies alone. Can't take my 12 year olds to see most of these, not that they'd be interested. So, I will probably skip the Oscars tonight and check the Internet for winners tomorrow. How about you? Are you watching? Anyone having an Oscar party?
I've actually done more this weekend than I usually do since the kids' basketball games are over . I went to the mall yesterday to get some things for Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap. Went out to eat both Friday and Saturday night. Went to watch a fun Mardi Gras parade with the kids and a couple of friends. I rarely get to do things with my friends, so that was a real treat! And, of course, had to run the kids around to places they needed to go. Plus the grand-twins were over today. It doesn't sound like much, but I'm usually such a homebody. Now my husband is asking me to go to Walmart, and I just can't! I feel guilty, because he's asked me twice, but I just don't want to go anywhere else this weekend!
I've edited over 200 photos during the last week. I'll be making a slideshow for my father-in-law's 80th birthday, and I only have one more week to put it all together. I better get busy! No Oscars for me!
No Oscars for me either. I'll have Amazing Race on! ;)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, if you ever want to go to the movies, let me know. I'll go with you! I enjoy going to the movies.
I guess I have been working on this house too hard!! I haven't seen any of them either (where have we been?) so I guess I'll be skipping them too! LOL I hear there's a MacGyver marathon on.
ReplyDeleteWish I was home, I'd go do a movie any time!
No but I am going to see slumdog right this minute. I want to see Milk, and the reader too! The rest will be for video!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of the movies, but I watched the awards show. I just like to see who wins.
ReplyDeleteYep, this was the first year I hadn't seen ANY of the Oscar movies. I watched the show just for the dresses;)
ReplyDeleteits the same thing every year. nothing i've seen or heard of wins.
ReplyDeleteI managed, despite the weather, to see Slumdog and The Reader. Slumdog should be seen in the theatre( Won best Cinematography) and I LOVED them both.
ReplyDeleteWe had a intimate Oscar party with fattening goodies. We do two movies by mail every weekend but many Oscar movies are not out yet.
Dave did not want to see either but liked them both. :)
I didn't pay much attention about the oscars too. and I guess editing those photos is worth more than watching it...
ReplyDeletecome on show us what you've been working on...
I haven't seen those 5 movies yet but I'd love to see 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.'
ReplyDeleteI watched a bit of the Oscars here but they ran the live show at midday so I was out doing gardening and only saw parts of it.
Hi! You popped over to say hi, I have you for the swap. Very excited. :-) I did not see any of those movies. Wanted to see Benjamin Button, but it was sold out when I went, and I found out it was 3 hrs long. So never saw it. Did catch a little of the Oscars, I liked the style this year.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch this year, altho I usually do. In fact, I went into labor with Daughter just after watching the Oscars in 1994! But I haven't seen or even heard of any of those movies this year, and I've gotten to the point where I don't even enjoy going to the movies anymore because it's expensive, it stinks (I hate the smell of popcorn), and the other people in the theater annoy me. I prefer to watch movies at HOME! At least then if someone annoys me I can send them to their room! :-)
ReplyDeleteNope ... I've seen NONE of the films nominated for anything this year! Yesterday at Small Reflections, I shared photos of the lovely RAINBOW that greeted me Monday morning. Sorry I've fallen behind. I'm hoping to catch up, but lately I've just not been at home much to log on to my computer. I'm not complaining ... just letting ya know what's up.
ReplyDeleteLife is good ;--)
Hugs and blessings
