Here are my children ready to dig in to this yummy funnel cake.

In case you've never had a funnel cake, it's made by pouring unleavened batter through a funnel into hot oil making a circular pattern and deep frying to a golden brown. In our part of the country, the funnel cake is topped with powdered sugar, but in some places, they also use jam or other toppings.
