As I mentioned
yesterday, I had a great Friday planned. I got to see my sister, we were able to scrapbook for several hours, I picked up my kids after they'd been gone to
Summer Excitement for six days, and...
I turned another IF into a FIRL! (translate: Internet Friend, Friend in Real Life)

When I was getting ready yesterday, it felt like I was getting ready for a date! But within a minute of meeting
Tamy in person, I felt like I was talking to a long-time friend. But that's what we do with our blogs. We develop friendships. And you do feel like you know these people. And when you meet them in person, it feels very natural. After all, I've been reading
3 Sides of Crazy for maybe... three years? And getting recipes from
Always Eat on the Good China. I've visited her at
Our Crazy Kitchen and
The Motivation Station as well. So, I felt like we'd been friends for a while.
We had such a great lunch at
Cheddar's. I treated her because she was the closest guess on my
"Creative Liar" post. The answer was #6, by the way. I've never met Luis Scola (darnit).
I couldn't have had a better day yesterday! Well, unless I'd won a million dollars or something crazy like that. But otherwise, it was a great day! Can't wait to see you again Tamy!
We have been friends for about 3 years now so it really seemed odd not to have met (at least in real life) before yesterday. My treat next time Diana! :)
ReplyDeleteBTW the new (to me) author I mentioned is Lori Wilde.
So glad you two had a nice visit. I've met several blogging buddies and it's always like getting together with an old friend :-)
