It's still Sunday, but I have my menu plan ready (except for Friday), which is great because it's the first week of school, and I will be too busy to try to plan meals at the last minute. Friday is usually pizza night, but my oldest daughter has to perform at the football game, so we'll play it by ear.
Sunday – Grilled chicken, zucchini/tomato bake, rice (low fat meal)
Monday – Sloppy Joes, potato salad, beans
Tuesday – Beef and Penne Pasta, broccoli (low fat meal)
Wednesday – Roast Beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach
Thursday – dinner out
Friday - ?

since I've been on a pretty strict budget I have been planning instead of last minute and it makes a different.
ReplyDeleteLOL are you fasting Saturday? Sounds like a good menu for the first hectic week of school. I have a sloppy Joe recipe that is easy and from scratch if you're interested - http://www.3sidesofcrazy.com/2009/01/favorite-ingredient-friday-superbowl.html and Chris did a spicy version of one last Friday that he calls Chorizo Joeshttp://www.ourkrazzykitchen.com/2010/08/fire-day-friday-chorizo-joes.html.
ReplyDeleteThe grilled chicken dinner sounds amazing!!! I may have to try it!!
