GWO!

That's right! Not just a Girl's Night Out, but a whole Girl's Weekend Out!
Flat Mamarazzi was ready to go Friday morning, but we were delayed due to icy roads. (Really? This is South Texas. What's up with that?) We got a late start, but Flat Mamarazzi didn't fuss one bit. She wasn't even grumpy that I had to drive 12 miles out of my way to avoid icy overpasses in order to pick my sister up.

Finally on the road four hours late, we rocked out to Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin on the three and a half hour drive to the boonies , ummm... country. Ever heard of Belton or Temple, Texas? Here's where we spent our weekend, The Rockin' R Retreat and Event Center.

One of the first things I had to do was get Flat Mamarazzi set up with a diet Pepsi (with ice balls and a straw).

Now we were ready to meet some of the other gals we were spending the weekend with. Flat Mamarazzi made lots of new friends. She's so vivacious and likeable!
Then it was time to get down to business! We were here to create scrapbook pages!

We also watched a movie on the computer, listened to my iPod, and stayed up far too late giggling! And of course, we had to eat.

I don't think Flat Mamarazzi minded a bit when I snored breathed too loudly while I was sleeping, and she didn't seem fazed by my singing in my sleep. (Yes, you read that right. Ask my sister!)

We didn't get much sleep, and we were up early for our second day of scrapping. We also took a long walk outside to breathe the cool, crisp, country air and took some time to sit in the rocking chair with the Nook and catch up on some reading.

What a great Girl's Weekend Out! Time to giggle, make friends, and get our "craft" on! Flat Mamarazzi enjoyed every minute of it. It was over all too soon!
