I talk to my cat. Sometimes she talks back to me. Wait... She doesn't "TALK" talk. She meows. She's a cat! But, I do talk to her. 
Well look at her! How can I resist? She's just so captivating! My family gives me a hard time sometimes. They'll hear me say, "Hi Beautiful. What are you doing? I love you!" in my "talk-to-the-cat" voice. I don't care. I just love her!
I also confess...
I need to buy some new bras! I have one that has broken underwire and another one in which the underwire makes a squeaky noise when I move. It's time to break down and replace them! I mean, I do have other bras, but these two need to go.
And I also confess...
I've decided not to give anything up for Lent this year. I know. I should. But since January 4th, I've already given up so much (real cheese, real mayo, fried foods, one soda per day, most sweets, etc.) that I just couldn't face the idea of giving up one more thing. I hope God understands! Guess I'll find out someday.
Last, I confess...
I can't stand American Idol! My daughter loves the show, so I tortured myself a little and let her watch while I was in the room. This guy (I won't name names, because some of you are already gonna hate me just for saying I don't like the show), but anyway... this guy was singing, and he was awful! And these are the singers that are supposed to be the good ones. Just my opinion. I just absolutely can't stand this show! AT. ALL!

It doesn't make you a bad person if you dislike AI. I don't like it either, and I'm totally okay with that.

ReplyDeleteOh no. We may have to break up. I LOVE AI this season. I'm not a big AI watcher unless I have a vested interest (like when Carrie Underwood was on there since she's from my state and briefly dated my brother) but I love JLo and Steven.
Rather than giving something up for Lent this year, I'm trying to add more thoughtful time in prayer and reading the Bible. I could give something up, but that would be for me. I want to do something that's actually for my faith.

ReplyDeleteAnd I too hate American Idol - I can't believe that crap is even still on.
I haven't watched AI for years--actually since Carrie Underwood won. I think I might want to watch this year, but time and life has gotten in the way. I would also prefer it if they just sang, the judges talked and then moved on to the next singer, I hate the interviews of how do you think you did? after they sing. It gets a bit to angsty for my taste.

My bra's are broken too, isn't it such a pain! I doubt any guy could really comprehend the annoyance-especially the squeaky bra syndrome!!

Oh my gosh another thing we are so much alike. My first friend here in Iowa City when I moved other then my husband was his one of his cats. I talk to her all the time and she talks back. I can understand some of her meows as well. She has a different meow when she wants water and food.

Uggghhh the bras... I can completely relate! One I just bought like a month ago & wore maybe 3 times the wire came out. Stupid thing! I hate that the ones I love are $46... who wants to spend that much for a bra??? Grrrr!
ReplyDeleteI used to talk to my doggie ALL THE TIME. They are so sweet, how can you not acknowledge them when they are around. Good for you, you are a great pet owner!
I've watched every year of AI. I still do, but I find myself tuning them out while I watch & then sometiems fast forwarding till the comments. I hate when I think they suck & the judges don't... how do we not hear the same thing?
