I've always considered myself mostly a girly-girl. I took dancing and wore tutus and costumes when I was growing up. I didn't play sports. I was more likely to dress up as a bride or a princess for Halloween than something wacky or scary. Now that I'm all grown up, I still love ribbons and bows, pink and lace. I like dainty, porcelain tea cups, flowers, TV beauty pageants, and wedding dress shows. My husband would say I have a lot of shoes (I disagree). I love pretty fragrances, lotions, and makeup, and I don't play sports. I love watching "Say Yes to the Dress" and "Something Borrowed, Something New" on TLC. I enjoy scrapbooking and making crafts. Pretty much girly things!
However, a lesson in contradictions... I am a girly-girl, but I don't like shopping. I guess I did when I was younger, but I just don't have the patience or the cute figure for it anymore. I also helped my son raise rabbits, a goat, and a pig. And I love basketball season! I watch basketball all the time, whether it's a game, an interview, The Starters, or what have you. I'm a huge Houston Rockets fan, and since the first 2 games of the playoffs will be here, I'll be there!
So, am I a girly-girl if I like basketball but detest shopping? I think so! Are you a girly-girl?
Yep, I am a girly girl who hates to shop for herself, loves watching sports, and guy shows as well as chick flicks.
