I need to do what someone suggested in a comment on one of my previous random posts. I need to write my thoughts down as they happen because I can't remember stuff!
I was bummed to find out Tuesday Coffee Chat was cancelled. Things happen, though, and unfortunately, the hostess is dealing with some life matters. The topic was going to be "17 Again." If I could be any age again, it definitely wouldn't be 17! I think it would be 39. That was a good age! My kids were still at a very cute age. I was able to take off a year of work and volunteer at their school, substitute teach, and have a part time job at the bridal registry of a store that I love. I was still fairly fit and trim then, too. But... it is what it is! (My husband hates that saying, but it fits here.)
One daughter's spring break is over, and another daughter's, my son's, and mine has just begun. I don't have much planned, but that's just the way I want it! I would love to go to a basketball game or two this week, though. And I have a day of pampering planned: facial, massage, pedicure. I still have a gift card from Christmas for that.
My very good friend got married Saturday. It was a little strange being a bridesmaid (is bridesmatron a word?) at my age, but the wedding was perfectly beautiful! My husband and daughter went with me. I got to dance for the first time in years, and my daughter said she got to see a side of me she's never seen.
Alamo Drafthouse is offering a free movie to teachers during spring break, but it's about an hour's drive from here, and I don't know what is showing that I would really like to see. Maybe Cinderella? I've heard good things about it. Any suggestions? It's been so long since I actually went to a movie theater. I need to get out more!

I was bummed about the coffee chat too; I saved my answer for next week; that post is ready to go!
ReplyDeleteYou looked beautiful in all the pictures from Saturday's wedding and how fun to have your daughter see your "you" side instead of "Mom" side always.
