Hello! Today I'll be linking up with Sandee and Stacy. (Btw, I love the holiday look on both of your blogs!)
This time last year I was working two jobs, one of which I retired from on December 18 and the other one I quit in May, and I remember doing all of my Christmas shopping and especially the wrapping at the last minute. I'm vowing NOT to let that happen this year. But, with covid, this is already shaping up to be a strange holiday. My family and I are exchanging gifts, we just don't know how, when, or where since we aren't gathering in a big group at someone's home. What are your plans?
A couple of weeks ago, I watched part of a show on HGTV called, "Holiday Crafters gone Wild." I watched them decorate a festive holiday dinner table, a tree, and even a mock house. I wish there was more than one episode. Anyway, as I was watching, I was struck by how much Jay Manuel, the host, and Mikie Russo, one of the judges both reminded me of Caesar Flickerman, the master of ceremonies for the Hunger Games. What do you think? (Jay is in the center of the first picture.)
I think I might be watching too many Hallmark Christmas movies lately. When I'm not watching them, I'm thinking of different scenarios that could be used as a premise for a new movie! They are all formulaic: main characters meet (or meet again), start a romance, get the wrong idea about the other one wanting to leave or whatnot, then realize they were meant to be and live happily ever after. But I enjoy them anyway! They're very different from the types of books I usually read.
And now, on to something funny...
Wouldn't this be great? |
