All About Me!
1. I'm a mom of boy/girl twins, age 24, have three older step-children (1 male, 2 female), and 3 grandkids by my step-children (boy twins age 13 and a precious 1 year old girl). I've been married to the step-kids' father for almost 16 years. I don't usually call them step-kids except I don't want my readers thinking I gave birth to all five kids! I love all of them the same and was probably more of a mom to the girls than their own mom.
2. My daughter (the twin) just got married in November. We did a lot of DIY for the photo booth, table decorations, seating chart, ceremony, and even did a candy "bar."
3. I love doing DIY projects whether it's crafting with wood, flowers, paint, or anything else.
4. I love making cards and scrapbooking.
5. I also have a sewing machine. This Christmas I made several pairs of pajama pants, a nightgown, a skirt, and 4 decorative pillows. I use my Cricut Explore to do scrapbooking, card-making, and to create unique shirts.
6. I love to read! True crime is one of my favorite genres. I'm currently reading:
7. I love to color!!!!
8. I am a retired teacher, yay!!!! December 18, 2019 was my last day.
10. When I was little, I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, but it doesn't really cause any problems right now.
11. I had to wear braces on my legs when I was about 2 or 3. Yes, like Forrest Gump. I only had to wear them at night for two years, though.
12. I have experienced anaphylactic shock twice. The first time I was about 7 years old, and I had to get a tetanus shot. Bad idea! I'm allergic! The second time, I was 15, and it was a reaction to ampicillan. This one wasn't caught as quickly and I had to get shots of epinephrine to keep my heart beating. Scary stuff!
13. I am a Christian; Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I don't live a perfect life; I'm a sinner who is trying to be better each day.

Does the reaction to the tetanus shot disqualify you from other vaccinations? You sound like a very wonderful and complete person.
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't so far. I get a flu shot every year. I got the shingles vaccine and the first dose (so far) of the covid vaccine.
