Hey! Glad you're here! This time next week, I will be touring Carlsbad Caverns, and I'm so excited! Then it's on to Big Bend although a lot of the trails are closed right now!
But right now I have a real problem: I often forget where I have parked the car. Have you ever accidentally tried to open someone else's car thinking it's yours? I walked out of the store and went straight to (what I thought was) my own car. I couldn't understand why it didn't unlock when I pushed the button. Wrong car, dummy! I felt like an idiot! I need one of these car trackers! I really need one for my phone and the Firestick remote control!
One time, I was picking up my husband at Discount Tire, but I wasn't there yet. He thought I was, and he went to "my" car and actually opened the door, but it wasn't me! There was another woman sitting there. I can only imagine how he felt! It cracks me up, though.
I have heard that sometimes your key will work on someone else's door, but I've never seen it happen. Honda says they have 3,500 different lock combinations but of course, many more cars than 3,500 on the road. However, even if it's possible, it's highly unlikely! And if it opens the door, it's even less likely to be able to start the car. Good thing, too! It's considered breaking and entering.
And moving on...

Pre historic googling is so funny. Hard to believe finding things was so hard not long ago.
ReplyDeleteI've done the car thing. Put something on your dashboard that you'll recognize and that will solve the problem. Works for me.
ReplyDeleteLove all the funnies. You made me chuckle more than once.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥
The gender reveal, the Breaking Bad: so good! But oh yes. I often go to the wrong car. I even get in and wonder where my keys are! That's because around here, I never even take the keys out of the car; just out of the ignition (after killing a few batteries). It's safe and most people do it. So I can't use the keys to find my car and once in awhile I get into a real pickle.
ReplyDeleteWhen i first got my gray Ford, i went to another just like it and tried to open the door. Oops.
ReplyDeleteGoogling could be more fun in some ways back then, as you would find things by serendipity and make notes and come back to new, interesting paths.
